Thousands gather to mark one year since arrival of Leroy Carhart

On Monday morning December 5, 2011 over 2,000 people came to pray and protest against the abortions being performed at Germantown Reproductive Health Services.  December 5th, 2011 marks one year since notorious late-term abortionist Leroy Carhart began performing abortions in Germantown, MD.

Since Carhart has been in Germantown he has performed approximately 720 abortions.  That is 720 less people in the world and 720 women scarred by abortion from the hands of one man.

720 crosses were set up to memorialize the lives that have been lost in Germantown, MD.

People from all over the area gathered together on Wisteria to stand for life and against the abortions being performed in Germantown, MD.

Every monday morning, people join in the 100s to stand up against the murders that are happening in Germantown by the hands of Leroy Carhart and the staff of Germantown Reproductive Health Services.  To mark the 52nd week since these protests have been happening, 1,000s of people gathered together to stand for Life.

Please join us as we continue to pray for Leroy Carhart, the staff of Germantown Reproductive Health Services, the women faced with an unwanted pregnancy and for Germantown to join together to protest this evil.  Join us in praying that Carhart will turn against abortion and accept the free gift of salvation that is only offered through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  For more information about the monday morning gatherings: http://prayforgermantown.com/

  3. I'm humbled, honored and grateful to be a part of what God desires to do in regard to abortions, and ridding our state of Maryland, and this nation in this heinous thing. May we see the victory over this soon, and very soon dear heavenly Father.

  5. Yes, I was there and it was very moving to see so many people praying!

I believe in my heart, like Fr. Carlos Benitez said, WE NEED TO PRAY FOR THE CONVERTION OF MR. CARHART. Once he is converted he WILL STOP performing abortions.

  8. I was proud to be there this morning and was impressed by the great turnout; I only saw 5 or 6 of the pro-abortion side. As a woman who's had three abortions, the first of which was just months after legalization, I have great passion for this cause. I am not able to have children and wonder if the abortions play a role in that.
I have asked for and received the Lord's forgiveness; I was not a believer then and bought into the culture's "quick fix" for an unplanned pregnancy. Since I've become involved with the protests against Carhart's business, I've found that whenever I see a newborn who's so cherished by his parents, I am reminded of these other babies and how callously they are killed! Thanks to all our leaders in this fight and everyone who comes to stand up for life.

  9. Yes, keep doing what you are doing! It WILL make a difference. Bellevue, NE supports and prays for you. (This is where Leroy Carhart started and STILL DOES early-term abortions-- when is not in Maryland.) God Bless All of You

  10. I only wish we had 1/4 of the people you have come out. The people of Buffalo, NY seem to be under a dark cloud. However, the few that are faithful are blessed for their obedience to our Lord's calling!
